Aleksandra Nika Smolińska

Aleksandra Nika Smolińska

Nika's interest in neuroesthetics stems from her aim to capture mental character in her visual work. She views her creative process as that of body (receiver/transmitter) - brain (operator) and mental thought (product). She is also fascinated by the process of drawing and interpreting drawings. In November 2010 Nika established MIoCR (Mind Institute of Cosmobiological Research) at the Chatham Islands, New Zealand. Its main focus is the study of drawing in relation to the celestial bodies.
